INTRODUCTION

Fetchaa Inc. and/or its affiliates ("Fetchaa", "we", "us", or "our") are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Fetchaa Services, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

By using the Fetchaa Services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully together with our Terms of Use.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically, and information from third parties, including:

  • Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register for a Fetchaa account.
  • Order information. The products you purchase, your delivery address, your collection preferences, and your order history.
  • Payment information. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number. We do retain a reference to your payment method and the outcome of payment transactions.
  • Identity information. For orders above a certain value or where required by customs or anti-fraud obligations, we may collect a copy of your national identification document or passport.
  • Communications. Records of your communications with our support team, and your preferences for receiving notifications by email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
  • Device and usage information. Information about the device and browser you use, your IP address, pages you visit, and how you interact with the Fetchaa Services.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to provide and improve the Fetchaa Services, including to:

  • process your orders and payments,
  • purchase products on your behalf and manage shipping, customs clearance, and delivery,
  • send you order updates and notifications by email, SMS, or WhatsApp,
  • verify your identity when you collect a package or where required for customs or security purposes,
  • provide customer support and respond to your enquiries,
  • detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, security incidents, and abuse,
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and
  • with your consent, send you marketing communications about deals and product recommendations.

We may use aggregated, de-identified information for analytics, product development, and operational improvement.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as needed to operate the Fetchaa Services, including with:

  • Logistics and fulfilment partners. Our consolidation hub and shipping partners (including airlines and couriers) need your delivery address, contact details, and order contents to deliver your package.
  • Customs authorities. Import and customs clearance requires sharing order details, product descriptions and values, and your identity information with the relevant authorities.
  • Payment providers. Stripe processes your payment and requires order and payment information to complete transactions and prevent fraud.
  • Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the platform, provide support, send communications, or analyze usage on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect your information.
  • Legal and regulatory bodies. Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fetchaa, our users, or others.

DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. In particular:

  • Transaction and financial records are retained to comply with accounting and tax obligations.
  • Identity documents collected for customs or high-value orders are encrypted and retained for the duration of the order lifecycle plus one year, after which they are securely purged.
  • You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time (see "Your Rights" below).

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information in your account settings.
  • Delete your account and request erasure of your personal information. We will process such requests within 30 days, retaining only anonymized financial records as required by law.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time, either through your account settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Withdraw consent where we process your information on the basis of consent.

SECURITY

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Access to sensitive systems and data is restricted to authorized personnel, and administrative actions are logged and audited. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we work to protect the security of your information and to comply with applicable data protection requirements, including GDPR and POPIA.

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where required by law.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Fetchaa operates across multiple countries, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe. Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take appropriate safeguards to protect it, and we process it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Fetchaa Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use parts of the Fetchaa Services.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or by a notice on this site. Your continued use of the Fetchaa Services after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
